Charlotte Tilbury is a dream makeup brand for many of us out here. I really like her product line and I recently got a chance to try out some of the best products from the brand. I love cream eye shadows and in this post I will be reviewing the Charlotte Tilbury ‘Eyes to Mesmerise’ Cream Eyeshadow – ‘Cleopatra’

Charlotte Tilbury ‘Eyes to Mesmerise’ Cream Eyeshadow is a cream-to-sheen formula that creates maximum impact with minimum effort. You just add a sheer wash of colour with your fingertip for a flattering finish for day, or for a more intense look, use a blending brush for high-shine lids. It’s part of brand’s One-Minute No-Mirror Makeup product. So easy to use and blend!

Shade, Formula & Pigmentation
‘Cleopatra’ is a vibrant peacock hue inspired by the mesmerizing Queen of Egypt and Elizabeth Taylor’s portrayal of her in the film – Cleopatra. The shade is highly pigmented. Formula is very creamy. You just need a touch to cover the lids. I applied using my fingers and later on blended on using my brush. You may choose to use a brush if you like.

Longevity
What I love about this is it lasts for a long time. It doesn’t crease on your eye lids. and doesn’t melt. The tip to apply cream eye shadows is that you work in thin layers and add more if you need more intense look. I also used it as a base for the same color powder eye shadow. For testing purpose, I tried it without using a primer and it stayed without creasing for about 7 hours. and I am sure it will last the whole day if you use a primer underneath.

How to apply
Apply this cream eye shadow using your fingers for a soft, smooth and natural day look. Apply it to the eyelid working it backwards and forwards like a windscreen wiper to create a gorgeous wash. If you have difficulty getting it into the inner corner of the eye with your finger, take your Smudger brush and run along the lashline & work into the inner corner. Using the smudger brush, run the product underneath the lower lashline. Blend it in with your finger for a hazy finish. For a more intense look, use a blending brush for high-shine lids. Go from chiffon to a liquid lame finish by lightly dampening the brush.

I have applied just a thin layer and it look very very beautiful on eyelids. This is a best selling shade from the brand.

Overall, it’s a highly pigmented creamy sheer-full coverage eye shadow. You can layer it if you want a more intense look. A best seller from the brand. Doesn’t crease. Staying Power is pretty awesome. I have normal eyelids and without a primer it stayed for upto 7 hours. If you have oily eyelids, You might want to use a primer to prevent creasing etc. The result would be different depending on your eye dryness etc. For normal eyelids- I highly recommend to check this out.
