Though I love matte lip colors. This was the first time ever, I was trying a metallic+matte formula. I never felt confident enough to flaunt metallic shades. But, I was proved wrong. After wearing them for a couple of times , I am loving the way it looked on my lips. I felt really comfortable wearing them. To know more about these, keep reading..

There are a total of 10 shades in this range. I was lucky to be sent 3 gorgeous shades from this range –  05 Dramatic Diva, 02 Matterialistic & 07 Automattic Touch. I would be reviewing these 3 shades in this post. Hand swatches & lip swatches of these 3 shades.

Milani Cosmetics Amore Matte Metallic Lip Crème – USD $ 8.99

Packaging – These come in a glass tube with gold lid and asoft plush applicator,. Shade names are pasted on the tube end. Using the soft plush applicator, glide the liquid matte across your lips smoothly, starting at the cupid’s bow in a criss-cross pattern, then along the outer corners of lips, and the bottom of lip. Next, fill in the rest of the lips as if you are connecting-the-dots.

Shade, Formula, Coverage, Longevity – Milani Cosmetics Amore Mattallics Lip Cremes are highly pigmented, gilded metallic liquid lipstick. It applies a smooth giving full coverage across the lips in just one swipe. The brand claims that the formula is non-drying and gives upto sixteen hours of smudge-proof wear eye catching pout. I totally agree with the coverage & pigmentation part – They are so smooth, vanilla scented and the color just glide on to your lips. In just one swipe you get the intense color on your lips. Also, I really love the fact that it’s not very drying like some other matte lipsticks I have. I hydrated my lips well using Milani Lip Treatment before applying these. We all know that every matte lipstick is a little drying on lips. To combat that dryness, we all scrub our lips and apply a hydrating lip balm/lip treatment prior to application. I am not saying they are very hydrating/ moisturizing lipstick. They are not over-drying too. I’ve been wearing the shade ‘Matterialistic’ fr almost 7-8 hours and it survived a meal, a light snack, Kheer etc. I found the formula to be better than other matte lipsticks in the same price range.

Matterialistic is a very bronzy rose gold shade which is a perfect dupe of Kylie Cosmetics Reign Metal Matte & Dose of Colors – Teddy Lipstick.

I am NC 40 in MAC and I really love how the bronze color looked on my lips. This is a long wearing formula. It gave a nice shimmering metallic finish on lips. For an ultra-dramatic look, layer Reign over the top of your favorite matte lipstick. I think this shade would look perfect on us, medium skintone girls.

 

 

Milani Amore Matte Metallic Lip Crème – 07 Automattic Touch

Automatic Touch is a very pretty dup chrome color – A purple toned pink that look gorgeous on every skintone. I love bright colors and this shade has a lot of purple hues to it. On seeing it , initially  I was drawn back. Later, When I tried it. It got me hooked to the shade. This is such a super wearable color that want to try atleast once.  With the purple toned pink and a metallic sheen, It’s super pretty on lips.

Milani Amore Matte Metallic Lip Crème – 05 Dramatic Diva

Dramatic Diva is a barbie pink shade. Perhaps, this is a shade that I will never wear too much.  It’s like a bright barbie pink shade to me. I am not a fan of this shade. My least favorite out of the 3 shades I have.

Overall, Milani Amore Matte Metallic Lip Crèmes are awesome. Milani cosmetics have taken the beauty world by storm with their intense colours and variety of products at an affordab;e price range. Milani Amore Matte Metallic Lip Crèmes dries to a matte finish with a metallic sheen. It’s affordable. 10 shades available. glides easily onto lips. They have a strong vanilla scent to them . The scent doesn’t linger though. I found the formula to be comfortable on lips. Without much drying. it’s not overly moisturizing too. Just the right finish. First of all they a I strongly recommend you to apply a hydrating lip balm prior to applying these. These pretty much last 7-8 hours. I tried the shade ‘matterialistic’ that alsted about 8 hours on my lips without flaking  etc. Overall, I think these shades are worth trying, considering the price tag of $8.99, and also the metallic sheen it gives to lips while still keeping them matte. Also, the shade ‘matterialistic’ is a dupe of Kylie Cosmetics ‘Reign’ metal Matte lipstick. I love Milani Amore Matte Metallic Lip Crèmes I can’t wait to try more.
