Swatches, LOTDs & my experience using these gorgeous Red lipsticks

All of them are slightly different shades in the red family that work with the different undertones of the skin, complementing you perfectly.

Comes in a classic black packaging – similar to L’Oreal moist matte range. applies smoothly. One can layer it to get the desired pigmentation. All of them are slightly different shades that work with the different undertones of the skin, complementing you perfectly.  Definitely not just reds alone. A mix of bright shades. Priced at 995 INR each. The lipstick formula itself is a satin finish, so is super long-lasting.

I’d recommend using a lip liner with these just to get a really clean finish and pop a bit of lip balm underneath to prevent any dry feeling at the end of a day’s wear.

Enjoy the swatches! All swatches are taken in natural daylight without flash.

Time for LOTDs
IMG_6292

Pure Vermeil : A bright red with peach undertones to it. This makes it a perfect day wear shade.

Collage1

Pure Scarleto : A warm red lipstick picked by Blake Lively.Collage5

Pure Rouge : Shade that is hand picked by Freida Pinto. Beauty bloggers worldwide compare it to MAC Ruby Woo. Is it really a dupe – I will soon review it individually with Ruby WooCollage4

Pure Brick : A shade chosen by Aishwarya Rai and I am sure, this suits all skintones and anyone can rock this shade!Collage6

Pure Amaranthe : A bright pink shade picked by Gong Li. I see myself wearing this a lot. My all time favorite color & second favorite lipstick from the range.Collage

Pure Fire : Reminds me of MAC morange and colorbar obsessed orange a lot.  A bold orange shade with red undertones to it. not as pigmented as other shades in this range. my least favorite.

Collage2

Pure Garnet : My most favorite shade from the range.  A deep burgundy wine color. closest dupe of MAC DIVA. I will do a separate post on that. This shade can be pulled off easily by every Indian girl. This one is endorsed by my favorite star, Sonam Kapoor. now, you know why this holds a special place in my heart.

Pros
-highly pigmented except for Pure Fire
-Staying power is impressive except for Pure Fire- almost 7-8 hours without drying lips
-matte formula
-doesn’t accentuate fine lines of lips
-great packaging
-color block makes it easier to identify the shades
– strong packaging.

Cons
One drawback that I found is the bullets breaking off at the base which makes the lipstick a little difficult to use. I store them in fridge because of this problem.

Overall, It has a  velvety matte texture, pigmented except for shade Pure Fire that needs way more layering. One can always layer the color by giving 2-3 swipes for that bold, intense long wearing, non-drying color. Love the color round on the front part that makes it easy to pick the shade. One drawback that I found is the bullets breaking off at the base which makes the lipstick a little difficult to use. I store them in fridge because of this problem. Apart from that, I really like these and absolutely adore the shades in this collection. Red is one of my favorite colors and if you notice most of the lipsticks I reviewed in this blog would be red.

What is your favorite red from this range? Which one did you like the most on me ?

as its a matte formula, i’d suggest you to apply a lipbalm underneath…I use rose bud salve lip balm..its the best…
