MAC MACnificent Me Collection Lipstick – Strutting Fabulous Mattene

MAC launched a new collection for Fall 2015- M·A·Cnificent Me. I was lucky to receive this matte lipstick along with 2 other products from this collection. You can read about them here. In today’s post I am reviewing the Mattene lipstick – “Strutting Fabulous” – (Bright lavender ) retails for NZD $40.00

Mattene is one of my favorite formulas from MAC. When I received this shade. Initially, I wasn’t sure whether it suits my medium-tan skintone (NC40). However, I really liked the formula. It glides very smoothly onto lips. The bullet is  sleek and gummed-frosted similar to NARS packaging.

The shade “strutting fabulous” is a bright lavender shade. Finish is between a satin or semi-matte, it does not dry completely matte,but a silky , soft texture that doesn’t accentuate fine lines on lips or make the lips dry. Really  comfortable to wear. I am not saying longevity is as great as other matte formulas from MAC. But. It gives a decent wear time. I wore it for about 5 hours survived a full meal. I really loved wearing this sahde and I never thought lavenders can look good on me. Check the swatches in daylight without any flash.
