This collection features products specially packaged in luxurious soft-touch black and shiny gold. In Caitlyn’s latest collaboration with M.A.C – 15 new products are launched. Caitlyn Jenner first teamed up with M.A.C. in April 2016 to launch the lipstick ‘Finally Free’, reflective of her transition.
M.A.C Caitlyn Jenner Collection has the following products. These limited-edition products all come in a pretty gold packaging and range from $16 to $33.
3 lipsticks (Authentic Red – a deep red; Rockit! – a pinkish beige; and Understanding, a hot-red online-exclusive)
2 lip pencils (Whirl – a dirty rose and Soar – a mid-tone pinkish brown)
3 lip glosses (Beautifully Beige – ,a mid-tone nude; Kindness – ,a gold tone; and Tolerance – mid-tone purple);
3 eye shadows (Worthy – a rich plum; Malibu Bronze – a bronze with a pearl finish; and Glowing Gold- a metallic gold)
a set of lashes; a kohl eye liner pencil in Teddy – an intense bronze; a bronzer in Compassion (a cool brown);
a powder blush duo in Buddy – a peach-y bronze shade.

The Caitlyn Jenner collection itself were hot topics in the online and beauty community, a lot of backlash since it was launched. but I am not here to judge her nor to write my personal opinion about her as a person, so I want to make it clear that I am reviewing this as a makeup enthusiast, a beauty influenster and as a makeup collector. I purchased these 3 lipsticks from the MAC Cosmetics US website.

MAC Authentic Red – Deep Red Shade ; Cremesheen finish
Authentic Red is a medium to dark cool toned red shade in a Cremesheen finish. It has a soft, creamy texture, and applies smoothly and evenly on lips. It has medium-high pigmentation and semi-opaque to opaque buildable colour pay-off. It can be layered and blended out with ease.
MAC Rockit! – Mid Tone Beige ; Cremesheen finish
Rockit! is a light-medium warm rose beige shade in a Cremesheen finish. Texture is soft, creamy and feels very smooth while applying on lips. It has medium pigmentation and semi-sheer to semi-opaque buildable colour pay-off. You can layer the formula well and it’s a really pretty rose nude shade for warmer complexions.
MAC Understanding – Bright Red Shade ; Cremesheen finish
Understanding is a bright red with orange undertones, has a cremesheen finish. Seeing from the bullet, you might think the bright red shade will not suit the warmer or dusky skintones. Infact this shade looks absolutely gorgeous on all skintones.

My overall view about this collection – Now, to talk about this collection -I am really kind of disappointed at the lipstick shades in this collection. Now, don’t judge me wrong – All 3 shades are lovely and universally flattering. But – These shades are just repeat shades – Nothing new! I have seen all 3 shades in MAC previously, both in their permanent range and in limited edition launches.
Considering the price point – These are the same price as MAC’s permanent lipsticks (No special price for the limited edition packaging). so if you don’t have any of the dupes and have been thinking about getting one of the shades listed, these might be worth looking at. All 3 shades : Rockit!, Authentic Red & Understanding(online exclusive shade) have a Cremesheen finish, so they are creamy, semi-opaque, shiny, moisturising, and comfortable to wear. If you are someone who is looking for a lipstick which has more of a matte finish or highly pigmented shade – You can skip this.
