L’Occitane en Provence ‘Radiance and Colour Care’ Shampoo & Conditioner Review

Posted on June 16, 2012September 23, 2017 by renjianooj

Hi dearies…Today I am going to review my new shampoo and conditioner from LÓccitane…. I am now a great fan of LÓccitane Products…Right after my skin care, taking care of my hair tops my list of priorities…and I am very much particular in choosing the Products…

After having tried about a lot of products, I realized that not all products follow their claims. L’Occitane has always been my favorite. Not just for their excellent quality products. But also for their lovely packaging. And, out of the long list of products I tried from them. Majority wins. They work and do live upto the expectations.

This shampoo formulated without sulfate foaming agents helps preserve the brilliance of color-treated hair. Its formula combines 5 essential oils (geranium, rosemary, cedar, palmarosa and bergamot) with a protective grape seed extract to help prevent color from fading while preserving its radiance. The creamy texture transforms into a generous foam to delicately cleanse hair weakened by color treatment.
Also, amazing fact that this range is FREE from SLS (Sodium Laureth Sulftate) It cleanses the hair gently without stripping your hair color and leave it soft, smooth and vibrant. Well, I don’t think there are many products that are specially designed for color treated hair.

Radiance & Colour Care Shampoo

The sulfate-free Radiance & Colour Care Shampoo is formulated with a botanical blend of five essential oils (geranium, palmarosa, bergamot, rosemary and cedar), as well as grape seed extract, to enhance radiance and help keep colour from fading. Its creamy formula gently cleanses while preserving the brightness of highlighted or colour-treated hair. Additionally, the added UV filters help protect your hair colour against the sun’s harmful rays.

Qty: 250 ml; Price: 14 GBP

Comes in a tube with a convenient flip-top cap ;

How to use it

1. Start by brushing your hair to remove dust, stimulate microcirculation and bring some air to the hair. The shampoo will be more effective.
2. Then, breath the nice scent of the shampoo and the essential oils, you will feel relaxed.
3. Put a small quantity of shampoo in your hand and mix with water to create a lather. Then place your hands on the nape of your neck, make circular movements, using the pads of your fingers, starting with the nape of the neck, then massage near the temples, finish with the top of your scalp.
4. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water to remove any remaining impurities and to smooth the scales. Rinse lock by lock until the hair crunches in your fingers.
5. Finally, brush or comb the end of the hair with a wooden comb and finish at the root.

My take on Radiance & Colour Care Shampoo
Tube packaging is very convenient, Easy to dispense the right amount while in the shower. Since its a sulfate-free product, don’t expect it to lather well on first use.  Fragrance is quite fruity/grassy that fades off quickly. Well, Most L’Occitane hair care range has a similar smell. Gel-like consistency when spread throughout the hair, Easy to rinse and wash off.

Radiance & Colour care cocktail of 5 essential oils: Geranium – Rosemary – Cedar – Palmarosa – Bergamot: Helps to protect hair fiber

Grape seeds extract: Rich in antioxidants, protects the hair from external aggression

Radiance & Colour Care Conditioner

This conditioner gently detangles as it helps preserve the brilliance of color-treated hair without weighing it down. Its formula combines 5 protective essential oils (geranium, rosemary, cedar, palmarosa and bergamot) with a grape seed extract to help prevent color from fading while preserving its radiance. The creamy texture helps to smooth and coat the hair fiber, leaving hair silky and easy to detangle.
1. Once the shampoo is thoroughly rinsed, gently squeeze out excess water from hair with hands or a towel. If hair is wet, the conditioner will slide on the hair and not penetrate.
2. Squeeze some conditioner into the palm of your hand and rub your hands together. Gently massage over hair, concentrating on the ends. No need to massage the scalp. Draw hair through fingers to separate strands or use a wide-toothed comb.
3. Rinse lock by lock using your fingers to draw water down through hair. Rinse again with fresh water to remove any remaining impurities and smooth the scales.
4. Towel dry hair gently by blotting.
5. Start by detangling hair from the tips and work your way up to the root, to keep the knots from accumulating and avoid that the hair breaks.
