If you have a dull and dry looking hair and if you are looking for some nourishment & shine, this Kerastase value set is perfect for you. Since 2 years, apart from occasional salon visits for to get a hair spa done, I followed the natural products routine for my hair. Though I love how my hair health is, I always missed that salon straight sleek hair look. It was at the right time, I was gifted this wonderful set from Kerastase – Kerastase Elixir Ultime Hair Oil Set. The set includes a shampoo, conditioner and iconic hair oil. Please note, Kerastase is NOT cruelty-free.(more…)

I have been using Kerastase /Loreal Shampoo and Elixir. When I finished the Kerastase, I decided to try some other brands other than Kerastase. There, started my search for a good organic hair care product with NO Sulfates, phthalates, parabens, silicone and I came across this wonderful brand called BRÖÖ. You must have already read my thoughts on their Indian Pale Ale Shampoo & Conditioner here
I am a big fan of these products and today I am going to share my thoughts on other 2 variants from the brand. Many people think about having a beer after a long day, especially in this scorching NZ summer season. A Shampoo & Conditioner made from beer might sound like tricky, but it’s actually awesome. Beer’s big three ingredients—barley, hops, and yeast—are rich in hair-nourishing B vitamins, proteins, and natural essential oils. So in place of plain water, the main ingredient in most shampoos, Bröö uses oatmeal porter, and adds in other hydrators like olive oil and shea butter and olive oil. (more…)
In today’s post – I thought of reviewing a haircare product. Since 2-3 years I have completely stopped using haircare products that has the ingredient- Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) and its close relative Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS).
Reason why I stopped products with SLES/SLS – Both, sodium laureth sulfate and its cousin are also very dangerous, highly irritating chemicals. Far from giving “healthy shining hair” and “beautiful skin”, soaps and shampoos containing sodium laureth sulfate can lead to direct damage to the hair follicle, skin damage, permanent eye damage in children and even liver toxicity.
I was lucky enough to be able to try Savar Skincare’s plant based Ultra Cleansing Shampoo & Ultra Nourishing Conditioner. I have had about 8 washes using this shampoo & conditioner and I thought this is the best time to review them.
If you are a regular reader of my blog- You might have noticed that I really haven’t done many hair product reviews. I always stick to one particular brand when it comes to haircare.
I have been using Kerastase /Loreal Shampoo and Elixir since years and years. When I finished the Kerastase, I decided to try some other brands other than Kerastase. There, started my search for a good organic hair care product with NO Sulfates, phthalates, parabens, silicone and I came across this wonderful brand called BRÖÖ.
I contacted the BRÖÖ team and told them I am interested to try some of their products. The wonderful people at BRÖÖ asked my hair concerns, hair type etc and they were so kind to sent me two full bottles of shampoo & conditioner for trail. Thanks Team BRÖÖ NZ for sending this. I have had about more than 15 washes using this shampoo & conditioner and I think its a good time for a review about this.
