Posted on January 22, 2014April 28, 2015 by renjianooj
Hello everyone….Today’s review is going to be about my Favorite brush kit from Sigma…
You can read about my haul post here.
Sigma Synthetic Essential Kit
I was really really excited to try these brushes and I love and enjoy each and every sigma brushes…
What Sigma suggest on purchasing brushes
What is Synthetic Essential Kit
The Sigma Beauty Sigmax Essential Kit contains ten brushes specially designed for a high definition, flawless makeup application. The brushes in this kit feature exclusive Sigmax™ fibers, uniquely designed to apply powder, cream and liquid products without absorption into the bristles. The Sigmax Essential Kit has everything you need to achieve a perfect and flawless face.
Brushes Included:
F80 – Flat Kabuki: This brush is ideal for the all over application of liquid and cream formulas in large and mostly flat areas of the face, such as the forehead, temples and cheeks. It is designed to seamlessly buff foundation onto the skin.
F82 – Round Kabuki: Perfect to comfortably apply liquid and cream foundation on curved areas of the face, specifically around the eyes and nose, on the chin and the jaw line. This brush can also be used for all over application of mineral foundation.
F84 – Angled Kabuki: The angled shape of this brush is ideal for the application and blending of cream blushes onto the cheeks. It can also be used to apply and blend contour shades on the hair line, cheek bones and jaw line.
F88 – Flat Angled Kabuki: This brush is perfect for blending foundation easily onto hard to reach areas of the face. The angle fits all areas of the face seamlessly. It works especially well on cheekbones and contours of the nose.
F86 – Tapered Kabuki: The multi purpose tapered brush effortlessly applies products on defined and hard to reach areas of the face. This brush is perfect for all over application of powder, cream and liquid formulas. It is also ideal for all over primer application, contouring and highlighting.
P80 – Precision Flat: The small, dense and flat top is ideal to conceal blemishes, sun spots and small imperfections on the skin. It can be used to stipple concealer on defined areas, followed by precise application of setting powder.
P82 – Precision Round: The rounded top was designed to mimic your fingertips, making this brush ideal to apply eye shadow primers. It can also be used for the precise application of highlight shades on the bridge of the nose, cheek bones and cupid’s bow.
P84 – Precision Angled: The small angled top makes this brush perfect for precise contouring on the sides of the nose and contouring the hollows of the cheek bones. It can also be used to highlight the brow bone.
P86 – Precision Tapered: The tapered shape of this brush is ideal for application of concealer under the eyes and on defined areas such as the sides of the nose, chin and around the mouth. This brush can also be used to perfectly apply concealer around the lips to prevent color bleeding.
P88 – Precision Flat Angled: The Flat Angled is great to use for precise application of concealer products anywhere on the face. It works particularly well around eyes nose.

F80 – Flat Kabuki:
This brush is ideal for all over application of liquid and cream products especially forehead, temples and cheeks.
This brush is perfect to seamlessly buff the foundation onto the skin.”
The F80 Flat Top Kabuki is my favourite foundation brush.  It’s perfect to applying a light layer of liquid foundation and creating a flawless airbrushed finish.

F82 – Round Kabuki
This one here is perfect for  liquid and cream foundation on curved areas of the face, specifically the areas like  around the eyes, nose, on the chin and the jaw line. This brush can also be used for all over application of mineral foundation.” – The F82 Round Kabuki is perfect for applying and blending cream blushes on the apples of my cheeks..

F84 – Angled Kabuki

This brush is angle shaped and it eases the application and blending of cream blushes onto the cheeks. It can also be used to apply and blend contour shades on the hair line, cheek bones and jaw line.” – The F84 Angled Kabuki would be perfect for contouring. I get that sun kissed glowy cheeks when I use this brush..

F86 – Tapered Kabuki:
The tapered shaped brush is  ideal for all over primer application, contouring and highlighting.” helps apply the products on defined and hard to reach areas of the face. This brush is perfect for all over application of powder, cream and liquid formulas.  – The F86 Tapered Kabuki is perfect for applying loose powder to set my foundation etc…

P80 – Precision Flat
The small, dense and flat top is ideal to conceal blemishes, acne spots and small imperfections on the skin. Best used to stipple liquid concealer on defined areas,  followed by precise application of setting powder.” –

P82 – Precision Round

The rounded top feels on skin just like how you feel while patting with your ring finger…, This brush ideal to apply eye shadow primers.  It can also be used for the precise application of highlight shades on the bridge of the nose, cheek bones and cupid’s bow.” – The  P82 Precision Round brush is perfect applying concealer around the nose, mouth and chin too

P84 – Precision Angled

The small angled top makes this brush perfect for precise contouring on the sides of the nose and contouring the hollows of the cheek bones.  Also, I use this to apply browbone highlighter..

 P86 – Precision Tapered:
The tapered shape of this brush, Very true to its description, is perfect for applying concealer under the eyes and around the nose, mouth and chin.

I love Sigma brushes!  The value and quality of Sigma makeup brushes are awesome and maybe better than hte high end brands available.  The brushes are dense, the synthetic bristles are super soft and I haven’t experienced issues with shedding. The only down side is because the brushes are so dense, it takes a while to clean and wait for the brushes to dry.  I think the Synthetic Essential Kit wouldn’t be be ideal if you are ‘starting out with makeup’ and looking for a basic makeup brush set but I think it would be perfect if you are looking to build your collection and add some more professional brushes.

Would love to know, what are some of your favourite brushes?
