Posted on May 5, 2013September 20, 2014 by renjianooj
Hiya dearies…How are you all..Hope you all are enjoying Sunday!!
I am yet again back with another review…This time its going to be a foundation review…
Revlon – Age Defying with DNA Advantage Cream Makeup – Honey Beige

What Revlon claim about Revlon Age Defying With DNA Advantage Cream Makeup

Discover a younger looking, flawless complexion. Lines and wrinkles visibly diminish for a look that’s practically flawless.96% of women saw younger-looking skin in 2 weeks.
Remember all of those carefree days you spent at the beach, or entertaining outside? Good times for you, but not for your skin. The primary cause of the visible signs of aging is exposure to sunlight, in particular certain Ultraviolet (UV) wavelengths. UV rays can spur the formation of free radicals that not only damage skin’s DNA, but can also attack proteins such as collagen and elastin that maintain skin’s firmness and elasticity. Over years of exposure to UV rays, skin can lose the ability to replenish itself and repair its DNA.
Revlon Age Defying with DNA AdvantageTM Cream Makeup was influenced by the high tech trends in skincare to combat these and other signs of aging. Using a unique blend of anti-aging ingredients and SPF 20 to help protect the skin from sun damage and fight the visible signs of aging, this sophisticated formula combines advanced anti-aging technologies in skincare with superior innovation in color. Revlon’s exclusive DNA Advantage formula includes: SPF 20: provides broad-spectrum protection from UV rays by absorbing and dissipating as well as physically blocking UV rays from penetrating the skin. This helps protect the integrity of your skin’s DNA. Vitamin B3, Vitamin E, and West Indian Cherry Extract, plus highly effective humectants: helps retain water balance in dry skin, leaving you with skin that looks and feels younger and softer. Cream foundation: provides flawless, moisturizing, complete coverage to even out skin tone and hide imperfections.

How to Use

Apply Revlon Age Defying with DNA AdvantageTM Cream Makeup with your fingers, starting in the middle of your face and blending outwards.

My opinion about the Age Defying With DNA Advantage Cream Makeup from Revlon
This is one among my favourite foundation for heavy summers !!!
I love the way it blends and disappears onto the skin…It is a perfect shade for my NC44 skintone..I apply it using my Sigma F80 Kabuki and I apply it to areas where  I need coverage. Honestly I have no idea about the DNA advantage..Revlon claims that it combines makeup plus anti-aging skincare to help protect skin’s DNA to fight the signs of aging. I have heard mixed reviews about this foundation. They have a concealer too from the same brand..I think this version is not available in India yet.. I picked it up from a Boots store @ London. What I really liked about it is that it has a SPF  20 in it. There are 8 shades in total out of which I picked up Honey Beige which is closest to my skin tone (NC 44 in MAC)

The consistency is very light and creamy – almost like a whipped liquid. It’s very easy to work with, as it spreads and blends with minimum effort. The coverage is medium, and can be easily built to a heavier medium. My favorite way to apply it is with a synthetic, flat top brush such as F80 fr0m Sigma.

It gives a lovely dewy finish which I love the most..I set this foundation using my TBS face powder. It lasts upto 7 hours on my combination skin and I didn’t notice any irritation on redness while applying this which is a plus according to me..
This is a picture of me wearing the foundation.

Pros

  • light weight everyday foundation for combination skin
  • no greasy feel
  • gives dewy finish
  • easy to blend and apply
  • has spf
  • provides medium coverage
  • lasts upto 7 hours
  • no concealer required
Cons
  • expensive
  • not easily available
Overall opinion: A foundation that provides a dewy finish which gives a medium coverage that is buildable. Rating 3.5/5; .5 less for price; 1 less for availability

Hope you all liked my review. Have you tried this foundation. If yes, do you like it..

Enjoy the Sunday Ladies!! have Fun

Load up on chives, garlic, leeks, onions, scallions and shallots.
Often select a shaving your face cream which does not cause any kind of redness or
