Putting on makeup is always fun. Right after a day out with your partner or friends or after having a late-night sumptuous dinner, all we girls need is to hit the bed and wrap up ourselves in that cozy blanket once we get home. But, no matter how tired and exhausted we are, we must never forget one of the most important rules of beauty – removing our makeup before we go to sleep. How many of you agree that you are so lazy when it comes to taking the makeup off every night ? It isn’t fun! Makeup Removal is a vital part of your everyday skincare routine.
Our skin regenerates itself while we’re asleep. If we have makeup that stops our pores from breathing, this also stops the natural rejuvenation of our skin. Because the pores are congested, this can cause breakouts, fine lines, puffiness and dark circles.
Remove all the ‘woes’ of makeup removal. Here is a relaxing and easiest method to take the makeup off. I myself have tried Cleansing Oils, Micellar Waters, Makeup Remover pads, Makeup Erasers and several cleansing balms as well. In this post, I am featuring one of the recently found love, a product that I am so addicted to nowadays. Don’t freak out. It will not burn your pocket too. It’s the ever wonderful Pixi Nourishing Cleansing Balm. I am going to explain, How i remove my makeup with it. What all extra steps I take to ensure my skin is smooth and clean etc
Pixi Nourishing Cleansing Balm is a gentle cleansing balm that removes all traces of makeup as it nourishes, leaving skin silky-soft.
Rich and luxuriously textured, this balm-to-oil cleanser melts away makeup & impurities for clear, glowing skin. It deep cleanses as it nourishes with added sweet almond oil, shea butter, and vitamin E. Leaves complexion feeling plumped & nourished.

How do I use it and my thoughts
Packaging of Pixi Nourishing Cleansing Balm is a round plastic jar with a screw top lid. it has 90 ml of product and is formulated with almond oil, shea butter, and vitamin E and has a balm-to-oil consistency with a really relaxing and soothing rose fragrance
How I use it – In the morning and evening, I take a little amount using a dry wooden spoon and I gently massage it for about 30 seconds covering my face, neck and shoulder area..While massaging, I feel the soft rose fragrance that is absolutely relaxing. Remove with a damp face cloth, using circular movements.
Using a cleansing balm is just like how you sue cleansing oil to remove makeup. All you have to do is scoop a little amount onto the palm and gently massage it onto your face till all of the makeup is dissolved. It has a slightly lumpy texture that breakdown and melts as you massage. If you rinse with warm water to emulsify and break down the cleansing balm to clear it all off – It’s wrong.
For this Pixi Nourishing Cleansing Balm, After you massage it on your combination-dry skin, it breaks down into an oil consistency on your face which you can’t remove my rinsing with water. To remove it – You need a warm, wet wash cloth. I run a wash cloth under luke warm water as I massage the balm onto my face in circular motion using the wet cloth/towel.
After I wipe the balm gently off. It breaks down every minute makeup that I have including the waterproof mascara. Massaging the balm off using wet cloth easily removes all traces of makeup without leaving behind any oily mess.I have read in a lot of reviews about how some people felt a sticky film on their face after using this, I personally never experiences any such stickiness on my face. I think the best method to take the makeup off after massaging is using a warm wet cloth.
So here are the 3 steps – Massage For 30 seconds till it dissolves all makeup, Take a wet cloth and remove the trace of the balm from your face & Wash with cold water.
After I clean the face using a warm cloth, I splash some cold water and then pat dry. My skin feels very relaxed, refreshed, smooth & clean. I wouldn’t recommend this for oily skin people, But those with dry/combination/sensitive skin – This is best! It’s very hydrating and I follow up with Pixi glow toner and the Hydrating Rose Blend Oil. My skin needs that little luxury which I am obsessed these days!!
Totally addicted to it. I also have the Trilogy Cleansing Balm. I love Pixi Beauty one more. In terms of quantity, price and performance. I love Pixi more!! Skin feels really smooth and hydrated. It takes all traces of makeup without stripping your face’s natural oils. It didn’t irritate my skin which I love! The fragrance is very mild and soothing. I am sure I will repurchase this product.
Overall, it’s the ultimate cleansing balm – melts down all traces of make up effortlessly. Pixi Nourishing Cleansing Balm has a balm-oil consistency, dissolve pore-clogging dirt and oils without leaving your skin feeling overexposed. It’s Velvety-textured and packed with skin conditioning extracts, rich in sweet almond oil, shea butter and antioxidant vitamin E to fortify skin’s fabric and protect against free radical attack. To use – massage over face and neck – working into skin to eliminate every last trace of makeup, safe to use on eyelids as well – remove with a damp muslin cloth/towel to reveal a smooth, hydrated face. Follow with Glow Tonic & Hydrating Rose Oil Blend for maximum radiance-boosting benefit! I totally recommend this to all dry-combination skin types.
