Get the glow with Becca Cosmetics Afterglow Palette

Hi angels…I am still holidaying in India and hence, less posts. In today’s post, I am reviewing one of the lovliest product from Becca Cosmetics – Becca Afterglow Palette. This is part of Holiday 2015 collection. My friend, Christel of Makeupper NZ reviewed this here and ever since I saw this, I wanted to get this in my  life. I ordered this from Sephora AU and I received my order in less than 2 days 🙂

A collection of five BECCA best sellers designed to add light, lift and a touch of color. Mix and match to customize your look and create your custom glow. Highlight shades allow you to accentuate facial features for a natural glow, while Mineral Blush shades impart a soft sweep of color and subtly reflect light onto apples of cheeks.

I instantly fell in love with this wonderful palette. The shiny, metallic rosegold packaging adds beauty to it. This palette features five pans of cheek products, all from the Becca Cosmetics permanent line. Includes 3 of their highlighters and 2 of their best selling blushes. {Highlighters (aka Shimmering Skin Perfectors) }. Undoubtedly,  This palette is a great way for someone to explore the line without buying the individual ones.

My experience using Becca Afterglow

The palette comes with three highlighters (Moonstone, Rose Gold, and Topaz) and two blushes (Wild Honey and Flowerchild). This is a very good palette to have if you like to have some of the best sellers from BECCA Cosmetics, Easier to carry around and take with you while travelling.

I have a medium skintone ( NC40 in MAC) and all of the shades look very good on me. On contrary, If you have a deeper skin tone (Say, MAC NC44 and above) –  Wild Honey and Flowerchild wouldn’t be the best blush colors.  Deeper complexions need brighter blush shades which BECCA offers in full sizes but just not in this palette. You can skip this palette if you have a deeper skin tone.

Moonstone is flattering on all skintones, Such a perfect shade for that stunning glow. Rose Gold and Topaz work better as highlighters on medium to darker skin tones (NC40-NC42).I also love to use the Shimmering Skin Perfectors as eye shadows. It’s just awesome!

Moving onto swatches

As you can see, excellent color pay off. Highlighters aside, these make great eyeshadow colors! All of these are formulated WITHOUT Parabens, Sulfates. Phthalates etc.

Now about the worth of the palette – Overall, I think this is a great way to explore Becca’s cheek products if you don’t own or have yet to try their fabulous cheek products. Becca’s Shimmering Skin Perfectors (highlighters) retail for NZD $60.00 for 0.28 oz. and the Mineral Blushes retail for NZD $50.00 for 0.20 oz— this is a great value because you get the chance to try 5 products in this palette for only NZD $62.00, A totally winning product in my opinion
