OMVED All Skin Types Ubtan

Posted on March 3, 2013September 20, 2014 by renjianooj
Hi dearies….Today I am reviewing an Ubtan from Omved. Its for all skin types….
Omved All Skin Types Ubtan

A Little about Ubtan

Ubtan is the world’s first natural cosmetic. Millennia ago the Vaids/Ayurvedic physicians prescribed the use of Ubtan (Kappumanjal) for protection, nourishment and beautification of the skin.
Omved All Skin Types Ubtan is 100% natural, with no added fillers. A healing paste made of protein-rich flours, aromatic healing powders, therapeutic spices and a host of other herbal ingredients.
A natural alternative to commercial harsh exfoliators, the Ubtan’s antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal herbal properties are perfectly suitable for younger skin as well (especially those with issues such as acne or rashes).

What does the company claim about the All skin Types Ubtan
A combination of healing botanicals with nutrient-rich grains that gently exfoliate and deep cleanse, removing excess oil and dirt without stripping off moisture. Formulated and prepared with a special blend of clays and Ayurvedic herbs, this soap-free cleansing option not only enhances beauty but also possesses definite medicinal values by virtue of its anti-fungal, antibacterial, anti-perspirant, deodorant and skin-toning ingredients, thus protecting from various skin problems. Regular usage prevents premature wrinkles, removes scars and tightens open pores.
• Turmeric corrects the complexion
• White Sandalwood cools and hydrates
• Red Sandalwood prevents skin infections
• Green Moong opens blocked pores and maintains the pH balance
• Black Urad removes dead cells and tightens pores.
It is the perfect way to naturally cleanse, exfoliate and detoxify your skin. Suitable for all skin types.

Instructions
Use as your regular body and facial cleanser. Place required amount of ubtan into a bowl. Add water, Rose Water or Aloe Vera Gel to make a thin paste. Gently massage in circular motions. After a few minutes, rinse well with room temperature water. As a pack – apply about one-quarter inch thick and leave on the skin for about thirty minutes. Then remove the paste in a cool water rinse, to which you might add a little lemon juice or rose water.

 My Opinion about the Ubtan
I am a great fan of home made facial Ubtans….So, when I got this sample from Omved for review, I was really happy to try it out….If you see the ingredient list, U can see that this Ubtan is a mix of 4 ayurvedic herbs

  • Green lentil (moong)( Vigna radiata),
  • Black lentil (udad)(Vigna mungo),
  • Red sandalwood (pterocarpus santalinus)
  • White sandalwood (santalum album)

I basically hated the plastic pouch packaging, I poured all of the mixture into an empty tub
The Ubtan is good when mixed with rose water or water….The fragrance reminds me of Red Sandalwood….The consistency when mixed with water/ rose water is a thick paste kind of one..and it is easy to spread, within 5-6 minutes, the pack starts to tighten the face,The ubtan gently cleanses the skin and acts like a mild exfoliant. I splash it off with luke warm water and spray rose water and apply moisturiser upon drying my face, I use this once a week and I am loving it…:) The Ubtan leaves my face smooth and clean, tightens my pores and removes dirt….There is no stinging sensation or irritation on skin..
I didn’t feel any yellow cast on my skin after removing the pack..Its safe to use on sensitive skin, I myself have super sensitive skin and this pack suited me…:)I don’t have acne and I don’t know how effective this is for removal of acne. I feel that if used regularly, It helps in clearing the blemishes and even out skin tone…
I definitely recommend this to all of you:) Its worth a try:)

Pros

  • free from chemicals, parabens
  • 100% natural
  • easily available
  • cheaper
  • suitable for all skin types
  • no irritation on skin
  • leaves skin smooth and clean
  • mild exfoliator
  • no yellow cast on skin
  • totally worth the price
Cons
  • I don’t have any cons to point out…
I give it a rating of 4.5/5
0.5 less as it doesn’t come with a tub for packaging…

Note: Product Send by PR/Brand for consideration/ review purpose…My review remains honest as always….Please refer to my PR/Disclosure Policy..
