MAC Matte Lipstick – Chilli Review, Swatches & LOTD

Hello pretty ladies :-*Yeah I know I have been gone a long time ….but what with my session starting and the onset of horrendous summer which just saps up all my energy it’s a miracle I got round to working again  but I just had to share this shade with you guys *_* do you remember that song *mohabbat hai mirchi? :P* umm..never mind 😀 that’s the first song which came to mind when I tried this super hot shade by MAC and immediately fell for it and had to bring it home <3 presenting-

My take on the product
The lipstick comes in the regular classy silver tube with matte black packaging with a tight cap, making it sleek and easy to carry
The texture is the true-blue famous matte from MAC and the matte fans would kill for this perfect soft matte which glides on lips effortlessly and gives an even finish. It does not adhere to dry patches/fine lines of lips.
The color is a classic rusty orangey red which might not be the exact color of a red chilli but ouch! It sure is as hot as one 😉 I was warned by many chilli would contrast with my strong pink skin undertones but I fell in love with it from first swipe as it uplifted my tired, sweaty face into something else <3 I can see chilli working across all ages, skin tones and complexions. It is hot yet subtle and that works for occasions where you don’t want everybody to gape at your lips 🙂
The pigmentation is mind blowing and a single light swipe gives you the full blown color <3 howver you could also dab it on lightly to get that just-bitten stain look.
Staying power is great and lasts well beyond 5-6 hours through food and drinks *typical of MAC mattes!* it does not really dry out lips after wearing off but a lip balm beneath helps ensure comfort and care to lips.

Do I recommend?
I have been blind all these years -_- why haven’t I tried this shade before :’( so chaud and morange are too too loud for me at least and if you want a perfect orange-red balance which does not make you look u have got fanta on lips chilli is the one! Check it out <3
