My top 3 Bourjois Foundations – MAKEUPHOLIC WORLD

Foundation is a magic product that give you a flawless, even cosmetic base for your face. Choosing the right shade of foundation can be very tricky sometimes. “Test foundation on your jawline and check it in the daylight” – Now, that’s a star advice. Choosing the best foundation that suits your need and skin type is very important. Foundations come in different texture, coverage etc. When it comes to base makeup – I am not someone who experiments a lot. I always stick to some brands which I really really love. Bourjois is my favorite drug store brand and today in this post I am reviewing my top 3 bourjois foundations

1)Bourjois Happy Light Foundation – Shade: 54 – Beige – Suited for everyday wear. Love it!!

Packaging: Comes in a glass bottle packaging. The pump dispenser makes it easy to the the product for each application. Definitely- As its a glass packaging, its not travel friendly at all.

Shade: I got this shade 54 : I wanted to pick the shade 53 – golden beige which is my perfect match- But I could get only 54 which has yellow undertones. It appears a shade darker – But it blends perfectly onto my skin and provides a dewy look. Looks very natural in pics

Coverage: The foundation has a medium coverage and covers minor flaws. The foundation gives a slight dewy look and not completely matte on my dry skin. The consistency is liquidy; I use my real techniques buffing brush to apply this. You can layer it up for more coverage. You might need a separate concealer if you have strong acne scars etc. This will cover up only minor blemishes.

Staying Power: In hot HYD weather – this stayed for about – 6 hours. In winters- I love it – I get a wear time of 8 hours easily. I don’t set my foundation when using bourjois ones -I love the dewy finish it gives . It is water resistant and won’t run down by sweat or water any time. This is my favorite everyday foundation.

Shade: I selected the shade 55: Its slightly darker for me. But for summers where my skin tend to tan a little bit- this suits well.

Coverage: I have heard a lot of vloggers and bloggers raving about this foundation. This foundation smells fruity. I has all the goodness of fruits etc. It’s the best summer time foundation. For those days – You don’t want to apply a lot of product – yet – want that nice dewy look. The consistency is slightly runny. not as runny as water. I use my Real Techniques expert face brush to apply this. Its light weight on skin and doesn’t leave any dry patch or look flakey or cakey on skin. I love this.

Staying Power: This lasts about 5-6 hours on my skin.

3. Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation – Shade: 56 Light Bronze/Hale clair – My favorite Winter time foundation

Shade: I got the shade: 56 ; its a good match to my skin. 54 is the perfect match for me- But I took 56 as it appears more flattering on my skin.This foundation doesn’t oxidise. It applies evenly. It has a slight fluid consistency with a velvety smooth texture.

Coverage: sheer- medium coverage. I use Real Techniques Expert Face brush to apply this. But nothing like made up sort of looks. There is quite a strong flowery-fruity fragrance but it goes away soon after application.This is my second bottle of this foundation. sometimes I mix this along with happy light foundation and that works great too. I need about 2 pumps for full face. This is a good winter foundation. This make my face a little glowy compared to other 2 foundations.I love the dewy finish.

Staying power: About 5 hours on my combination skin.
