Fenty Beauty Uncensored Stunna Lip Paint

Today’s post is totally dedicated to a iconic red lip color. Everyone loves red color lipstick. In the past Rihanna released red lipsticks ( collaborations with MAC cosmetics, The sold-out ‘RiRi Woo’ and ‘VivaGlam’ for MAC), it is not surprising then that she also launched a red liquid lipstick for her own Fenty Beauty Line, the Stunna Lip Paint in ‘Uncensored’. As a power fan, I too ordered it when it got released initially. For some reason, I forgot to post a review on it here.

Is it worth the hype? Fenty Uncensored Stunna Lip Paint Longwear Fluid Lip Color($24.00 ; ‘Fenty’, the much raved about makeup line by Rihanna. From fan across the world and with their continuous top-notch releases, The brand quite lives upto the hypes. Fenty Uncensored Stunna Lip Paint is described as the “perfect universal red”. Uncensored is said to last 12 hours, give a soft-matte finish and be flattering for all skin tones.

Packaging

Now, the applicator is kind of going to put you off. Though I love the outer packaging. It didn’t impress me much. Especially, I had the thought on how to apply the lipstick perfectly using that kind of a wand, but trust me, if you get the hang of it. It’s just perfection.

The applicator is different from the usual angled ones. The applicator tip is has a ball shape. So if you are someone with thin lips, it can get really tough to apply the color. You would probably need to use a thinner lip brush for a more even application. For pouty, fuller lips, It’s perfect. It is very precise and helps apply the lip product in a jiff. Formula of this Uncensored goes completely opaque and runny. It’s super quick and easy to apply with just ONE dip. just open the lipstick, swipe the color on your lips till you are happy and you are DONE. The color didn’t feather on my lips.

Shade, Formula, Pigmentation

Rihanna promised that this shade is a universal red that will be flattering on any skin tone. And oh boy, it really does! I did experiment this product on different skin tones, my friends and cousins with totally different skin tones and it did not disappoint. It’s a gorgeous red indeed!

It’s a satin matte finish and is a very lightweight formula. Formula is very pigmented, so a single stroke is enough for that beautiful opaque red color lips. The liquid paint dries after about a minute and it does not feel heavy at all.

Longevity

For staying power I wouldn’t call it “kiss-proof/transfer-proof” because it does transfer. but the color on your lips doesn’t fade throughout the day. The color is super cool red, I have a medium skintone with golden undertones and this shade has a cool blueish underdone, blue based orange red, which I like. love its lightweight feel on lips, non-sticky, not as drying too.

With a heavy meals, You’d see the color appearing dull and it leaves a beautiful stain which means your lips won’t be left fully bare. It doesn’t dry out lips so much. Key is to exfoliate and hydrate lips prior to applying the lipstick. I found the deep cherry red color perfect for the holiday season. Stays for about 6 hours or so with light refreshments and no heavy meals in between. Shade screams Christmas and I think it’s a perfect red shade during Christmas parties and holiday season.

Now, the question atleast some of you might have – Will I buy more shades from this range ? Of course not, I will pass them as there are better brands and shades that last way longer for the same price! Fenty Beauty is 100% cruelty free.
