What a beautiful kit! Isn’t it. Pixi Beauty never fail to surprise me.
Pixi Glow Tonic Hydrating cleansing gel removes impurities without stripping skin’s essential moisture. With Moisclean™ and a unique blend containing glycolic acid, horse chestnut extract, aloe and ginseng, it helps refine and brighten complexion leaving your skin smooth and radiant.
I use this product as a second cleanse after taking off my makeup using Pixi Double Cleanse. So, my routine is like below.
Use a coin size amount of Pixi Double Cleanse first and massage into skin and remove all the makeup with a moist facecloth. I then use a coin size amount of this Glow Tonic Cleansing Gel and apply on my damp face. I massage it onto my face in circular motions for a good 1 minute. It has a really soothing smell and most importantly it has glycolic acid which exfoliates and Aloe Vera which soothes the skin. It has a gel like texture and it felt really gentle on skin.
I noticed that this didn’t really form into a lather. The fragrance is similar to that of Pixi Glow Tonic. Face felt really clean after cleansing. It didn’t felt dry. Now, if you are looking to use this as a makeup cleanser or to take off your waterproof heavy makeup – This alone can’t do that. I prefer to use this as a second cleanse, More like a massage gel that is to be washed off after using. Contains glycolic acid, which is a chemical exfoliant, this is so much gentler than traditional scrub based exfoliants. I have a sensitive skin and this didn’t cause any rashes or irritation.

I am using this toner since so many years now. I absolutely love it. With regular use – I certainly see a big difference on the pores. Pores look more refined, and I’d see old acne scars fading and overall skin looked more even toned. My skin is better everyday and my makeup looks more even. I think I am never going to change this toner at all. Now, There are a lot of acid toners in the market. Depending on your skin tolerance you may choose the select the one you want and also decide how many times per week you want to use them. Infact, when I started using Pixi, I did use it only a few times in the week initially and gradually I started to use it more often. It certainly does have an exfoliating effect on skin as well.
FREE from oil and alcohol, Glow Tonic is suitable for both combination and dry skin types. Exfoliates gently, soothes the skin, brightens skin tone, reduces hyperpigmentation. Particularly, if you are someone whose skin is congested and have larger pores, You are most likely to see faster results and reduction in the size of pores etc as the glycolic acid gently exfoliates and clarifies the skin. However, glycolic can make skin more prone to sun damage. Be sure to use a sunscreen while stepping out during day time. I recommend to use this only at night especially during summers.
Pixi Glow tonic serum is a light weight serum that gently exfoliates, hydrates and nourishes the skin. It has glycolic acid that exfoliates the skin; aloe vera which soothes and ginseng which help energize the skin.
I love the packaging which is similar to other Pixi Beauty Oils and serums. This comes with a glass dropper which helps dispense the right amount of product for every use. I love how it smells. Consistency is not watery like normal serums. It has a thick gel consistency.
After Cleansing and toning my skin, I take about 2-3 drops onto the palm of my hands and gently pat it on my face before moisturizer. It feels sticky when applied on skin. So, it’s not something meant to be used under makeup etc. I like to use it at night time as it has glycolic acid. It noticeably reduce the redness of skin. I have redness and dry area around my nose and mouth area. This seem to calm down my dry skin. I didn’t notice any change on the appearance of my pores. I feel a overall lustre on my skin that my friends and family noticed. They even asked whether I had a facial got done etc.

The sticky feel of the serum goes away after you follow up with the moisturizer. I’m really addicted to this product, I did definitely notice a glow after using this for about a month now. Overall, skin looks radiant, hydrated and glowing.
Pixi pHenomenal Gel is one of my favorites from this kit. It’s pH neutralizing moisture gel. It helps to balance and stabilize skin pH. It can be used daily after cleansing and toning. I use it after Cleansing, Toning and applying Glow Tonic Serum. It’s very gentle on skin
Horse chestnut soothes and smoothes. Aloe Vera is soothing & calming. Citric acid balances and brightens. Pixi pHenomenal Gel has no fragrance and I like the ingredients that contribute towards hydration of skin. It’ a gel formula and so it feels great and light weight on skin.

I think, it’s great for people like me to use this moisture gel because, the double cleansing method of makeup removal involves lot of washes and It’s quite natural for skin to feel dry as cleansing sometimes strip off skin’s natural oils. Totally, awesome gel formula that absorbs quickly into skin without being tacky or sticky. I like to apply this at night time and I really feel it make the skin supple and hydrated. If you have dry skin, You will love this product. It’s very hydrating on skin. Normal-combination skin types, This gel is awesome too. Gives a good glow to the face.
On-the-Glow is a travel friendly solid moisturizer that can be used on face, lips, body as well as hair. Honestly, this didn’t impress me much. I don’t like any moisturizer that touches my face. So, I barely used this. I also felt it to be tad heavy for my combination skin. Though I am impressed with its ingredients, packaging puts me off.
it’s formulated with a unique mix of Vitamin D2, gentle acids & vitamins to protect, treat and increase moisture level immediately & long term. It contains Ginseng that revitalizes & balance the skin. Glycolic Acid which moisturizes and renews the skin. Also contain Vitamin D2 which is a powerful antioxidant. When its loaded with skin friendly ingredients, I do miss a SPF factor here. It’s handy while travelling fir someone who like to use a dab on moisture stick kind of a product. Maybe in future, Pixi’d improve this product formula by adding SPF.
