Swatches and my experience using the foundation.

I have few acne spots that I need to cover. So, I conceal the spots first and then apply the skin beauty foundation from Za. More than a foudation, I use it to set my foundation. If I need a very sheer coverage. I sometimes skip the foundation, conceal the spots and apply this. I agree 100 % on the fact that this eliminates shine. That’s one of the biggest problem I face. After about 2-3 hours of applying any product, my face tends to get oily especially o nthe t zone area. This one helps eliminate that. Also, considering the price, it is doing an excellent job. The texture is very very smooth and it doesn’t make the face look cakey or accentuate any fine lines etc. It gives a healthy even finish. I prefer using the buffing brush from Real Techniques. The best way that I found to apply this is to buff on to the area rather than pressing the product using a sponge. It’s upto you on which method you want to use. If you have a clear face and don’t need to conceal any spots or dark circles. then probably, this can be your best friend. for that healthy looking skin with added SPF benefits. Here are the swatches taken in natural daylight without any flash.

For this look, I concealed my under eye circles using Estee Lauder concealer- medium & concealed spots using MAC pro longwear NW35. I used the foundation from Za using my buffing brush. I have applied 2-3 layers of the foundation. Still it didn’t cake up. The staying power is impressive too. when used with the buffing brush, the foundation lasted for about 5 -6 hours after which I had to touch up my forehead where it turned a little oily. I am wearing Australis Buda-Pash + MAC Diva on my lips.

Overall, a great foundation for daytime looks. casual or office wear. very light weight on skin. Doesn’t cling to dry patches on your skin. Gives a smooth even finish to your overall look. Easy to carry around. Compact is very light weight. If you have medium – tan skintones; checkout the shades OC30 and OC40. shade range is limited. I wish they had more shades for medium skintones.  Foundation Case retails for – NZD $10 & Refill – NZD $25; Available at all Unichem, life parmacies and Za stores nationwide

** Product sent by brand PR. However, my review is honest and unbiased as always.
