Kaya Ultra Light Aquagel Sunscreen SPF 25 | Review

While using a sunscreen is unavoidable during daytime, especially in summers, it’s easy to get confused with the wide range of sun protection factors (SPF) available in the market. In order to ensure you pick the right product, pick the one that suits your skin type. Only the type of sunscreen which is meant for your skin type can provide maximum sun protection.

The facial skin is comparatively thinner than the rest of the body. The one that suits the skin will keep it protected from the harmful UV rays of the sun and won’t lead to breakouts which normally happens when you apply an SPF that does not suit your skin type.

If you have a skin like I do, Which tends to turn a lot oilier during summers, The best way is to use a gel type/water based sunscreen. Something with a cooling effect on your skin and soothes acne prone skin.

Kaya Ultra Light Aquagel Sunscreen SPF 25 is a broad spectrum sunscreen specially designed for oily/acne prone skin to provide superior sun protection against harmful UVA and UVB rays.

It does not clog pores, thereby reducing the possibility of acne breakouts and also protects the skin against the onslaught of environmental damage . This gel based, fragrance free formula gives a cooling sensation with a weightless, matte finish.

Oasis Sun SPF30 Sensitive Skin Family Sunscreen

Summers are soon going to hit New Zealand. While I’ve learned so much about sun protection after becoming a beauty blog editor, There are a lot of my friends and family members who challenge the UV rays using a proper sunblock.

What happens without a sunscreen – There is really no safe way to tan. When the skin feels direct sun exposure, You skin cries for help. let me put it into scientific terms – this means ultraviolet light is penetrating the epidermis causing the skin to react by producing melanin or tan. In your mind, a tan may give you that young, healthy glow, but over time it causes just the opposite: a change in skin texture, wrinkling, age spots etc

How does a sunscreen help – A good sunblock/sunscreen (however you name it)  protects your skin by absorbing and/or reflecting UVA and UVB radiation. All sunblocks have a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) rating. The SPF rating indicates how long a sunscreen remains effective on the skin. A user can determine how long their sunblock will be effective by multiplying the SPF factor by the length of time it takes for him or her to suffer a burn without sunscreen.

How to generally use a sunscreen / Should we reapply it – For instance, if you normally develop a sunburn in 10 minutes without wearing a sunscreen, a sunscreen with an SPF of 15 will protect you for 150 minutes (10 minutes multiplied by the SPF of 15). Although sunscreen use helps minimize sun damage, no sunscreen completely blocks all wavelengths of UV light. Wearing sun protective clothing and avoiding sun exposure from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. will also help protect your skin from overexposure and minimize sun damage.

In today’s post, I am reviewing Oasis Sun SPF30 that suits even the sensitive skin.20151120104840 (more…)
