Am here today with an amazing, super-effective yet quite underrated product from MAC , the purpose of which is quite unclear, especially to us..wherever we see MAC in Indian blogs we mostly do not find reviews on this super adaptable highlighter with added skin benefits and hydration! Welcome the bright star of today- The MAC Strobe cream <3 do not let the name strobe mislead you into thinking it will make you turn into a disco ball šŸ˜› ā€˜coz it wonā€™t! itā€™s just the ideal pick-me-up for dull and lifeless skin which I think we need much more than makeup ^_^



What MAC claim about Strobe Cream
The ultimate quick fix for the skin. Super-powered with potent botanicals; de-snoozes, 
de-stresses, moistens, freshens and boosts the look of dull, flat or tired-looking skin with a fully loaded vitamin zap and a mega dose of green tea. Brightens and clarifies with iridescent particles and antioxidants. Enhances the effects of light on all skin and in all lighting conditions from sunlight to spotlight.

Swatches & My take on the product
The strobe cream comes packaged in a very convenient white sleek plastic tube with a matte black cap which is supposed to be stored upside down for easy dispensing of the product as and when required! very sleek, fuss-free and useful!
The cream is pearly white in color with a texture which is smooth, creamy, not thick at all and spreads easily even on parched dry skin *my skin in winters :-/* blending like a dream and glides on beautifully šŸ™‚ 

The effect? šŸ˜€ well it certainly has a lot ^_^ looked at closely, it reveals some purply shimmery feel but fear not šŸ˜› on skin it looks well rested, flawless and healthy šŸ˜€ I stuck to it the whole winter and used to just take 1-2 drops and either mix with my BB cream or sunscreen to create a dewy fresh finish, or better still I used to massage a couple of drops on to the higher contours of my face *apples of cheeks, bridge of nose, cupidā€™s bow etc :D*
Either ways, it does its job remarkably well! And the ingredients list filled with anti-oxidants and minerals are definitely an added boost to both your skin and morale šŸ˜€
There is a mild, soothing smell *like MAC FIX+* which I love even more and it persists for sometime after application šŸ˜€
For my dry-combination skin in winters it did give me just the right amount of hydration without turning oily or leaving my skin parched  for ladies with dry skin though, applying a few drops with their normal moisturizer would be better

On my face- I have worn strobe cream on my high contours and have applied just a thin layer of BB cream on face J no fuss jaldi jaldi make up for saraswati puja at my place J *lol šŸ˜› that even rhymed

  • Too Pricey :/ 
Do I recommend this?

Oohh yess! This is one of those MAC products the use of which most of us did not know before or are still confused about J highlighter, skin booster or skincare?? Well to tell the truth, ALL! I tried both Clarins beauty flash balm at the store and this one and yeahh no prizes for guessing who came home with me šŸ˜› an instant pick-me-up for dull, tired skin, which has impressive ingredients, does not look over the top and is easy to carry and apply MAC scores on all fronts šŸ˜€ and yeahh they have another solution for the upcoming oily summers or for ladies with perpetually greasy skin troubles- they have a Strobe lotion šŸ˜€ itā€™s the same price, same quantity, same effect- just runnier in texture and comes in a bottle <3 so what are you waiting for šŸ˜€

  5. Loved the detailed review Agni.. You really made the point very very clear. Also I am happy that you compared it with Clarins – you made my job so easy. Since it is very humid here all the time I would prefer the lotion for me šŸ™‚
