The right foundation will even out your skin tone and give you the appearance of flawless skin. Choosing the right shade of foundation can be challenging for many of us with the not so helpful shopping assistants, misleading store lighting etc. If you check my blog – You can’t see many foundation reviews. I always stick to 1/2 brands and repurchase it as my skin tone is quite tricky. Today, In this blog post I will share my experience using this foundation from MAC – MAC Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 Foundation. I fall into NC40.

Swatches & my experience using MAC Studio Fix Plus Foundation
Let me start with my experience of using this product- This product comes with out a pump, that has to be purchased separately. Honestly, I hate the smell of this. Smells disgusting- While blending and working with it -You have to bear this smell. Smell fades off after a while. It has SPF 15 to it. Its photographs beautifully even with SPF.

Its a medium coverage foundation. I have seen a lot of people claiming it to be a full coverage foundation- that is wrong. It is not a cakey foundation – It all depends on how much product you use for each application and how effortlessly you blend it in. I take about a full pump and use Real Techniques Buffing brush to apply this foundation on to my face. I have a combination skin- and this is perfect for my skin. This sets to a matte finish and this is long lasting as well. Lasts upto 7-8 hours. This one dodn’t oxidise and it didn’t irritate my skin too. People with extremely dry skin might have to use a good mositurizer underneath before applying foudation.

I dab it onto my face and neck and gently in circular strokes – blend it in nicely. After finishing a coat of it. I dab a little more of it to the spots/blemish areas to conceal it. I have a problematic skin and this really helps to cover my acne spots etc. Then, I go with my regular concealer- conceal under my eyes for a flawless finish.  I set everything using a loose powder from MAC/Ben Nye. Usually translucent powder. It stays the whole day without any touchups.

Con

A known dupe for this is Revlon Colorstay.

Overall, it makes a good bridal wear foudation, medium coverage that is buildable and sets to a matte finish. Always make sure you are selecting the right shade of foundation I can’t say that this is my favorite foundation. But, definitely worth checking.

Renji, I was matched to NC43.5 which is way orangy for my taste. For this price, its better to invest in Ester Lauder Double wear, their foundation are more yellow toned, unlike orangey ones in MAC, and is suitable for oily skin tone.
