This post is going to be picture heavy and very lengthy. I will include swatches, my views on each product.
What all I received
1) @urbandecaycosmetics Vice Lipsticks – Backtalk, Wired, No-Tell Motel, Bittersweet
2) @urbandecaycosmetics Afterglow 8-hour Powder Highlighter – Fireball
3) @urbandecaycosmetics Beached Bronzer – Bronzed
First, Let me start this review by talking about the Beached Bronzer.
Urban Decay Beached Bronzer : Bronzed – USD $28.00
There’s nothing sexier than bronzy, glowing skin—sans the sun damage, of course. When you get the look right, it’s SO right. But get it wrong, and you risk looking like you had a run-in with an Oompa-Loompa (not pretty). Nail the golden goddess look every time with Beached Bronzer.
Meet Urban Decay’s Summer Goodness – There are 2 shades of Beached Bronzer. ‘Bronzed’ & ‘Sun Kissed’. They are of matte formula. I love a good matte bronzer because they’re great for defining those contours.
Fill Weight: 9.0 g POIDS NET/NET WT. 0.31 oz
All you need is to dust this silky powder on your face for that perfect sun kissed look.
Packaging – Look at the artwork on this Beached Bronzer compact, and you’ll feel instantly transported to a tropical island. This compact has a full-size mirror—perfect for applying on the go. ‘Sunkissed’ perfectly suits paler skintones and ‘Bronzed’ is for medium skintones like mine.
Shade, Formula & Pigmentation – ‘Bronzed’ is described as a medium-dark shade with a matte finish. The formulation is very finely milled and the the texture is silky smooth as well. Traditional Bronzers always feel dry. This ‘Beached Bronzer’ formula is really unique. it has the finely milled powder that gives it an ultra creamy texture which feels amazing on your skin. It has HPP (Highlighter Performing Pigments) Technology that provides rich color, long-lasting elements and the perfect level of coverage. So easy to pick the product using the bronzer brush or a contour brush. There is no fall out and the shade stays on for a long time.
If you are looking for a bronzer that provides a warm – natural sun kissed glow without any shimmer s or glitters. gives a non-streaky, velvety smooth application – Your search ends here. Urban Decay Beached Bronzer – Bronzed is perfect for you. With it’s beautiful pacakging that reminds of tropical islands is a perfect gift for yourself or your bestie
Urban Decay Afterglow 8-hour Powder Highlighter : Fireball – USD $26.00
I don’t think there’s anybody who doesn’t love highlighters. If you are looking for a highlighter which is different than gold and champagne shades that are very common, Something that gives your skin a luminous, illuminated look with very little effort – Afterglow Powder Highlighters are a best choice.
There are shades available – Aura, Fireball & Sin.
I am featuring the shade – Fireball today.
Fill Weight: 6.8 g POIDS NET/NET WT. 0.23 oz
Packaging – The packaging looks very luxurious. It doesn’t have a mirror though. Afterglow Highlighter is housed in a compact with the fishnet “UD” cutout on the lid. The compact is iridescent white. As cool as the case looks, it’s also practical; the shade shows through the cutout. (No more having to open the compact to find the right shade in your bag.) The packaging is very sturdy and I have so far dropped it by mistake 2-3 times. The product inside was intact! So impressed !
Shade ‘Fireball’ is the perfect pink shade with a peach twist to it. I have never had such a cool color in my kit. I love this shade. It’s not shimmery and it is so soft and easy to apply as well.
I can’t stop myself from staring at the beautiful packaging!
Shade, Formula, Pigmentation – Afterglow Powder Highlighters are micro milled, lightweight, super-soft and has a creamy sort of a texture. It goes on sheer and blends easily. Use a little or a lot; the formula applies beautifully, no matter how much you build it (and never leaves just a powdery dusting of shimmer).
Fireball is a subtle shade that has a peach/pink duochrome sheen that makes it very unique.
Urban Decay Afterglow 8 hours Highlighter – Fireball goes on sheer and blends easily. Creates a glowy, strobed effect that lasts all day. Formula is not chalky or powdery. It’s infused with light-diffusing pigments to enhance and perfect the skin. With the iridescent silver compact with the ‘UD’ cutout. Perfect packaging! No more having to open the compact to find the right shade in your bag. There’s no chunky shimmer, no glitter fall out. Perfect sheen for that real good glow
Urban Decay Vice Lipsticks – USD $17.00
Urban Decay Vice Lipsticks comes in a massive lineup of 100 addictive shades and 6 indulgent finishes. From Bold brights to Dark, Super-versatile neutrals – there’s something for everyone.
I am reviewing 4 beautiful shades today – Backtalk, Wired, No-Tell Motel, Bittersweet
These are the different finishes of Vice Lipsticks.
MEGA MATTE: super-intense matte
COMFORT MATTE: our creamiest matte
CREAM: the original: creamy, badass luxury
METALLIZED: cream with a high level of pearl
SHEER: a punch of color with a sheer, shiny finish
SHEER SHIMMER: slightly transparent finish with floating pearl and a smooth texture
I absolutely love the packaging of these Urban Decay Vice lipsticks. The beautiful gold and bronzey silver bullet is the prettiest ever!! These are the shades I received. They are priced at USD $17.00 for 0.11 oz. of product.
Take a look at the swatches
Bittersweet – is described as a “bright pink-purple with a Comfort Matte finish.” I would describe it as a medium warm purple with a satin finish. It has a opaque color coverage with a creamy, smooth, and easy-to-apply texture that delivered even color in just a single swipe. It’s very very creamy and it can stain your glass/cups. I found the formula to be comfortable on lips- Neither too hydrating nor drying. Though I love the shade – I am not very happy with the formula. It melts very quick. I am currently in India and in this humid weather this season, My lipstick melted in the bullet and it’s so no manageable. I use a lip brush to apply the color onto my lips.
No-Tell Motel – I think I have just found out a Christmas – Perfect Red Shade. it’s a “deep red with blue undertones and a cream finish” and true to it’s name it just glides onto lips so easily and is intensely pigmented. I am so happy with the shade. I didn’t notice any sort of melting for this formula and I am so happy to own such a perfect red shade from this range. Pigementation is insane! Just one swipe provides an unbelievable laydown of color. Formula lasted for a very long time. and if bloated right- it doesn’t transfer to tea cups. I top this lipstick with the Mary Jo K from Kylie and this combination is truly magical!
Backtalk – is a “mauve nude-pink with a Comfort Matte finish.” I would say it as a muted mauvey – pink shade with warm undertones and a satin finish. Again, opaque color coverage with a very creamy, smooth consistency that easily glide onto lips and provides even coverage ina single swipe.I wore this shade for over 5 hours and the formula felt hydrating on lips too. I noticed the melting issue with this lipstick as well. I am thinking – all the ‘comfort matte’ formulas from this range has this melting problem and it’s best to keep them refrigerated to avoid damage.
Wired – is a “coral with a Cream finish.” A warm coral shade that is very creamy. Formula is so creamy and it glide on to lips without tugging or forming streaky. But, I noticed fine lines on lips and had to swipe 2-3 times to get the perfect finish. It had opaque color coverage and was not very long lasting like other shades that I got. It lasted only till 4 hours or so. I am also not a fan of this shade.
Overall, These items which are part of Urban Decay Summer 2016 collection are perfect! The product I am most excited for is the Highlighter. It’s really good and provide the right amount of sheen. The Vice Lipstick – No-Tell Motel is my favorite out of the ones I received. The ‘Bronzed’ Beached Bronzer is perfect too for those who prefer a comfortable formula that is easy to work with and gives a sun kissed look.
Have you tried any of the Urban Decay Summer 2016 Collections ? What are your favorites ?
