While summer is quite exciting for outdoor and other picnic activities, The summer also comes with a bunch of skin problems. Being a sensitive skin person, I always stick to products that are organic. In summers, most of the products that work during winters turn out to be too greasy for my skin.

I have a dry sensitive body skin. I recently came across this super hero moisturiser from Oasis beauty.

Oasis Beauty BB Creams – Monroe & Hepburn|Review & Swatches

Any makeupholic would be familiar with BB creams aka beauty balms or blemish balms. This multitasking cream originated first from Asia and is now available in every beauty store.

BB cream are skincare/makeup all rounder product the gives adequate hydration as that of moisturizer, coverage as that of a sheer foundation and, in some cases, the sun protection of a sunscreen.

How is it different from a tinted moisturizer?

The texture of BB cream is creamier than most tinted moisturizers and BB creams tend to provide more coverage than tinted moisturizers (still less than foundations).

In today’s post I am reviewing 2 BB creams from Oasis Beauty. I was sent two shades from the range, Monroe & Hepburn

BB Cream Monroe is best suited to light/medium skin tones and offers full coverage with a matte finish
BB Cream Hepburn is best suited to medium/dark skin tones and offers full coverage with a matte finish

Oasis Sun SPF30 Sensitive Skin Family Sunscreen

Summers are soon going to hit New Zealand. While I’ve learned so much about sun protection after becoming a beauty blog editor, There are a lot of my friends and family members who challenge the UV rays using a proper sunblock.

What happens without a sunscreen – There is really no safe way to tan. When the skin feels direct sun exposure, You skin cries for help. let me put it into scientific terms – this means ultraviolet light is penetrating the epidermis causing the skin to react by producing melanin or tan. In your mind, a tan may give you that young, healthy glow, but over time it causes just the opposite: a change in skin texture, wrinkling, age spots etc

How does a sunscreen help – A good sunblock/sunscreen (however you name it)  protects your skin by absorbing and/or reflecting UVA and UVB radiation. All sunblocks have a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) rating. The SPF rating indicates how long a sunscreen remains effective on the skin. A user can determine how long their sunblock will be effective by multiplying the SPF factor by the length of time it takes for him or her to suffer a burn without sunscreen.

How to generally use a sunscreen / Should we reapply it – For instance, if you normally develop a sunburn in 10 minutes without wearing a sunscreen, a sunscreen with an SPF of 15 will protect you for 150 minutes (10 minutes multiplied by the SPF of 15). Although sunscreen use helps minimize sun damage, no sunscreen completely blocks all wavelengths of UV light. Wearing sun protective clothing and avoiding sun exposure from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. will also help protect your skin from overexposure and minimize sun damage.

In today’s post, I am reviewing Oasis Sun SPF30 that suits even the sensitive skin.20151120104840 (more…)
