Manuka Doctor ApiClear Purifying Facial Peel | Review

Posted on September 10, 2015September 10, 2015 by renjianooj

The winter season brings in not only the frosty weather but also dull, dry and dehydrated skin. With evenings often spent rugged up in the warm indoors, skin can easily lose moisture, leading to dryness and noticeably uneven skin tone. At-Home facial peels are a great way to take care of your skin without having to visit a spa. In the past  I have used a few facial peel products from some Indian drugstore brands and from Oriflame. But, I never found them to be suepr good on my skin. Plus some of them were very difficult to even peel of after it dries leaving my skin irritated or red.

Facial peels remove the outermost layer of dead skin cells of your face, leaving a smoother, radiant looking face. A good facial peel help minimize the pores and diminish the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Similarly a bad facial peel product can irritate the skin as well.

In this review I am going to share my favorite facial peel product. This is from a brand called Manuka Doctor. Manuka Doctor is a well known skincare brand that uses some of the finest, unique ingredients for its products; hero ingredeints being “Manuka Honey” and “Purified Bee Venom“.

This product here, really attracted me as it has acne healing properties. When Manuka Doctor PR sent me this facial peel. I was excited to try this as I heard a lot of good things about purified bee venom products for the treatment of acne. Purified Bee Venom has multiple anti ageing properties such as cell regeneration, renewal of damaged skin cells, scar reduction, reduction of fine lines & wrinkles etc. It also has known benefits of treating and healing acne.  though its not advised to be used on broken skin.

Note –This product is not advised for people who are allergic to bee stings.IMG_4193

My experience using ApiClear Purifying Facial PeelIMG_4197

Consistency: Consistency of this facial peel is creamy or rather sticky like a glue

How  I use it: After cleansing my face, on my dry facial area- I apply Manuka Doctor ApiClear Purifying Facial Peel in a thin and even layer leaving plenty of space around the mouth, eyes and eyebrows and leave for about 10-15 minutes. It’s feels quite sticky while applying, almost like a glue. The stickiness of it holds the mask and helps peel it off after it dries.   Once the mask is on the face, It feels really cooling. It feels liek a white coating on the face.

Once the mask is completely dry, you can start to peel off the mask, starting at the bottom of the face ( the chin area) pulling upwards. It doesn’t hurt while pulling if you do it quickly and when its completely dry. If any flecks of mask residue is left on the skin – I use a warm wet cloth to wipe it off. This leave my face really really clean. Skin feels soft and plumped up.

After peeling off: I apply rosehip oil or a face serum. I use this peel twice a week. It really clean the dirt off the pores and you can start seeing the difference from the very first use itself. This facial peel never irritated my skin. I didn’t notice any major skin tightening effect. However, it really did help in clearing my acne marks. along with my other clay masks and hydrating masks, I never fail to use this once or twice a week depending on my mood.  IMG_4208

  • This skin clearing mask works well on blemishes & blackheads
  • Leaves skin plumped & silky soft
  • Removes dead skin cells and purifies pores
  • Goodness of Purified Bee Venom & Manuka honey with fruit extracts & botanicals
  • An effective alternative treatment to for acne/breakouts

Overall, I am very much impressed with this facial peel. I you have left over acne marks on your face that you desire to clear up. This is a great home treatment for that. The best part is results can be seen from the very first use itself.

Manuka Doctor ApiClear Purifying Facial Peel is priced at $NZD 35.95 and can be purchased from the official website  here

Wow! I really need to try this peel. I have used bee venom products and love how effective they are. Would they ship to India?
